The Tabuk Sports complex is located at
the Tabuk city North West part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The
Tabuk Sports Complex consists of several buildings with distinct
structural and architectural plans. Some of the structures of the
Sports Complex are damaged as a result of settlement, temperature
variations and the earthquake which occurred in November 1995 in the
Red Sea, among other reasons.
General Presidency of Youth and Welfare appointed Al-Samra
Contracting Co. to perform the repair works to the Sports City. Al-Samra
Contracting appointed Bullivant Arabia Ltd. as a Sub-Contractor to
perform Structural Appraisal, Minipiling and most of the repair
works.
The scope of work for the project included, but not limited to:-
** Strengthening of the
foundations by underpinning the mosque and part of the main
building.
** Repairing exterior and interior cracks at various buildings at
walls, columns, beams and slabs using epoxy injection and plaster
finish.
** Repair of cracks in concrete pavement in pathways and in open
courtyards for basketball, tennis handball and volleyball.
** Removal, repair of cracks that may exist, and replacement of
vertically placed ceramic tiles, floor ceramic tiles and floor
terrazzo tiles in toilets, lockers room, swimming pool, stadium
etc..
** Removal and replacement of concrete pavement tiles including
excavation and backfilling of tile bedding material.
** Repair of damaged vertical and floor expansion joints including
removal and replacement of any tiles, gypsum board or any other
surface finishes that may exist.
** Replacement of tilted walls or parts of the tilted walls
** Painting and other decorative works at areas of repairs and
others.
